GLA is home to a variety of species found primarily in the Great Lakes Basin. Additional exhibits showcase animals from both freshwater and marine habitats around the world. Visit us to see and learn more about river otters, a variety of regional birds, freshwater fish from Lake Superior and the Amazon River, and our special saltwater feature, seahorses.

5th Ave W Harbor Drive to Bayfront. Exit 256B. Located on the waterfront near the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC).

Parking $4. Adults $14.50, seniors 62+ $11.50, children 3-17 $8.50, under 3 are free.

Availability

Great Lakes Aquarium is open every day except Christmas Day. During the summer season (May-October) tickets are sold between the hours of 10am to 6pm. During the winter season (November-April) tickets are sold between the hours of 10am to 5 pm. Doors are locked at 5pm and guests may stay until 6 pm. Occasionally, Great Lakes Aquarium closes for special events such as weddings and banquets - please call to confirm hours of operation on the day of your visit.
