History Fest, held each October at Jack McGowan’s farm, is a wonderful weekend of historical, hands-on education and recreation. From the Civil War re-enactments to fire eaters and belly dancers, the festival offers a taste of the past to kids and adults of all ages. The event and all the activities within it (including canoe and horseback carriage rides) are designed to teach children about the past in an engaging manner.
