Learn more about Minnesota's role in the Civil War during the 150th anniversary. This year, Historic Forestville is focusing on the battle of Gettysburg and the Gettysburg address. Many argue that the role of Minnesota soldiers at Gettysburg helped to turn the tide of the war. Visit Historic Forestville to experience a re-created Civil War military camp complete with the sights, sounds and smells of the 1860s. Visitors can watch as soldiers drill, fire muskets, play music and cook. Plus, a costumed Abraham Lincoln interpreter will recite the Gettysburg Address. Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday Noon to 4 p.m.
