Come hear the untold stories about the women who impacted the communities of the Red River Valley. From Catholic nuns to wealthy wives, women leaders stared many important institutions in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Steve Stark will present on Local Women of Influence on Sunday, January 27 at 1 pm at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. The presentation will run about 60-75 minutes and is appropriate to first-graders on up. The program is free and open to the public; however, regular admission rates to see the museum and exhibits still apply.
Steve Stark is an award-winning cartoonist and historical performer from Fargo. He is currently a North Dakota Council on the Arts Artist-in-Residence and a past North Dakota Humanities Council Traveling Scholar through the North Dakota Humanities Council. He has been presenting illustrated history programs and Chautauqua-style school programs for nearly two decades.
