Billy Collins is the acclaimed American writer who served as United States Poet Laureate from 2001-2003. Collins, whose last three collections have broken sales records for poetry, has managed to combine high critical acclaim with broad popular appeal. His delightful and accessible style draws people of all ages and backgrounds to his standing room only readings. In Minneapolis, he will read selections from a variety of his work with an emphasis on his new book, "Aimless Love: New and Selected Poems 2003-2013," to be released in October 2013. He will also take questions from the audience and participate in a book signing. Collins will also appear as a guest on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” at the State Theatre on Saturday, November 2, the night after his Pantages event.
