What is supposed to be a joyous occasion, Big Daddy’s 65th birthday, is more dark and full of deceit as we learn all that his family is hiding, from failing marriages to back stabbing greed to all of them keeping from him that he is dying of cancer. This play is full of crossed lines, unpleasant truths and deceit, as one birthday party starts to feel more like a family wake than a celebration of life.
