Mississippi Bluffs Golf Trail

Golf along the Mississippi Bluffs portion of the Great River Road provides some of the most dramatic scenery in Minnesota With the great river flowing on one side and majestic bluffs bordering the other side, travelers can't go wrong.

The 140-mile route from Hastings to the Iowa border harbors popular river towns with interesting shopping and dining stops for apres golf.

Sailboats tack across mile wide Lake Pepin, a widening of the Mississippi River, popular boots, pottery and more are purveyed in Red Wing, and Wabasha is home to a world-renowned kimono shop and gallery. Wabasha is also home to the National Eagle Center, where you can get up close and personal with America's bird.

Winona offers an impressive slates of arts options, as well as a neat Maritime Art Museum.

Each town along this route has at least one golf course, usually two or more. So get your golf on the scenic byway!
