2012 County-Level Sales Tax Data Shows Growth

A new report from the Minnesota Department of Revenue provides detailed 2012 sales and state sales tax data for Minnesota’s leisure and hospitality industry. Statewide, leisure and hospitality gross sales and state sales tax both grew by five percent in 2012. The report features a separate table of detailed data for each Minnesota county and tourism region. Detail includes sales and tax data for accommodations; food services and drinking places; and arts, entertainment and recreation industries. The 2012 report is the latest in a series of annual leisure and hospitality sales tax reports that date back to 2004.
