Follow Food Safety Practices at Your Festival or Event

Food safety at festivals and events is an important topic for event planners. The University of Minnesota Tourism Center is offering training on key food safety practices to reduce foodborne illness risks and ensure a safe event.
- your leadership role as an overseer of the event's food vendors;
- identifying and controlling food safety hazards;
- licensing requirements for food vendors; and
- layout and design of event facilities.
Attendees will learn from four University of Minnesota food science experts and gain insight from the experience of other course participants. This online course is offered Oct. 27-31, 2014. The fee is $99 if you register by Oct. 6 or $149 thereafter.
