Workshop Looks at Managing Organic Waste in Event Centers and Restaurants

Release Date: Aug 08, 2012

Are you trying to reduce your facility’s environmental impact and solid waste costs? If so, join the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program for a workshop on September 12 at 8 a.m. at the Eagan Community Center in Eagan. This workshop will feature case studies and resources for the beneficial reuse of food waste and source reduction. Reducing food waste and/or employing beneficial reuse options (food-to-humans, food-to-hogs, and food-to-compost) can help your facility improve your environmental impact. It can also help you save money on disposal costs. Learn more and register online at http://www.mntap.umn.edu/events/MnTAP_Organics2012.htm. For more information, contact Krysta Larson at 612-624-4697.
