Roadway to Job Creation Informational Sessions Scheduled

The joint Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) solicitation for the Transportation Economic Development (TED) Program is now open. Full details on the program, the solicitation schedule, and the downloadable application are now available on the MnDOT TED webpage at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/funding/ted.html.

This infrastructure funding program is designed to address both the state’s transportation system needs and economic development objectives; to create and preserve well-paying jobs across the state; and to leverage private and local investment in transportation infrastructure improvements. The program specifically targets transportation improvements that support one or more of the following industries: manufacturing, technology, warehousing and distribution, research and development, agricultural processing, bioscience, tourism/recreation. Projects that support industrial park development or high-density multimodal development are also eligible for the program. Informational sessions will be held throughout the state. Anyone planning to attend a session should reserve a spot by sending an e-mail to Gloria.Stiehl@state.mn.us.
