Communities To Participate in Assessment Project
Release Date: Jun 12, 2013
Five small rural communities have been selected to participate in a special tourism assessment project over the next 18 months conducted by the University of Minnesota. Akeley, Buhl, Houston, Warroad and the cluster of Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley were selected from more than 20 applications. The Minnesota Sustainable Tourism Assessment for Small Communities project guides communities through a process to identify and assess their local assets for tourism from several perspectives: from visitors, self-assessment and tourism experts.
This statewide project is a collaboration of University of Minnesota Tourism Center, University of Minnesota Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships, and University of Minnesota Extension Center for Community Vitality.
