Plan to Attend the 2014 Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference “Future’s So Bright”
Release Date: Dec 03, 2013
With additional funding, new programs and an increased market for travel, the 2014 Minnesota tourism outlook is bright. Educational sessions on tourism trends and techniques, keynote speakers touching on transportation and marketing, and networking with tourism colleagues are just a few of the reasons to make plans to attend the 2014 Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference in Duluth, Feb. 4-5, 2014.
One of the keynote speakers will be Michelle Kelm Helgen, chair of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, who will talk about “Growing Minnesota’s Image as a Sports Destination.” Though the focus right now may be on a new stadium for professional football, this important investment has the potential to dramatically increase the visibility of Minnesota as a broader sports destination. Michelle will talk about the many ways the multipurpose stadium can host national and regional events to bring in athletes and fans from across the country and, at the same time, make Minnesota recognized as a destination that can host everything from professional to amateur sporting events.
