Tucked between rolling green hills and a 1400 acre aquamarine lake, Ruttger's Sugar Lake Lodge is the perfect get-away.  Just minutes south of Grand Rapids, MN, Sugar Lake incorporates the beauty of the northwoods with all the comforts of a full service resort.  Whether you'll be working, entertaining guests, relaxing with family, golfing, or on a romantic retreat, we have you in mind before you even arrive. 

The main lodge features a grand lobby with a large fieldstone fireplace & plenty of room to relax or enjoy the sunset from the deck with a bottle of wine from our full service Lobby Bar.  The Conference Center, just steps away, caters to groups up to 300.  Arrange for a relaxing massage at Aqua Waters & after the sun sets join the evening bonfire!

Otis' Restaurant serves freshly prepared items & seasonal favorites.  The Coffee Shop brews our famous 'Ruttger Blend', espresso drinks, smoothies, & teas.  Jack's Grill provides casual, lakeside dining & overlooking the 18th green, it features spectacular evening sunsets.

A variety of accommodations are available.  Townhomes nestled along Sugarbrooke GC. , Lodge Suites with Jacuzzi tubs & spectacular views of Sugar Lake and Lake Front Cottages with private decks overlooking Sugar Lake. 

A Joel Goldstrand design, Sugabrooke Golf Course is a Par 71 course on 6,534 yards on gently rolling terrain.  As a guest at Sugar Lake you may also play two additional area courses.

The sandy beach & aquamarine waters of Sugar Lake are perfect for boating, swimming, sailing, kayaking & fishing.  Non-motorized boats are complimentary or you can simply relax & enjoy the spectacular western views from the pool, beach or deck.
