Janel McCarville throws out the first pitch at a Twins game
Since I returned to Minnesota, I’ve had an amazing time. I love this state, and everyone has been so welcoming to me. One of the best welcomes I’ve had so far was when the Minnesota Twins invited me to throw out the game’s first pitch against the Chicago White Sox.
One of the great things about being back in Minnesota is the amazing fan support everywhere you go. While I was in college, the amount of support our team received was incredible, and since I’ve been back, I’ve felt nothing but love. The Twins even hooked me up with my very own personalized jersey! When I took the mound and they introduced me to the crowd, I have to admit: it was incredibly cool.
Don’t get me wrong, I was a little nervous to throw out the first pitch. I had thrown some practice pitches the night before. I wanted to make sure I didn’t roll it or anything, so I might have overthrown it a bit, but it was over the plate, which is all that matters.
I had a great time with it, and I couldn't be happier about being back in such a great state.
