In the March 14 issue of the New York Times, writer Carol Kind wrote "Set Aside Day for Museums? Minnesota Thinks Bigger," about May being earmarked as Minnesota Museums Month.

The March 13 West Central Tribune carried "Diverse crowd on hand in Willmar, Minn. as officials discuss statewide biking opportunities," an account of a Statewide Bicycle Planning Study public meeting written by Gary Miller.

Mike Binkley's February 26 story "Finding Minnesota: Nordic Inn" was on WCCO-TV 4 and also posted on the http://minnesota.cbslocal.com web site.

The February 24 'Vacation Gals' blog ran a story "Princess Diana: A Celebration at Mall of America," a lengthy description of the exhibit with photos.

The Sunday March 11 Travel Section cover story in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, "Red Wing offers shoes to buy, bald eagles to spy," was penned by Madison writer Brian Clark. Clark's story on Minnesota museums will appear in the MJS on Sunday, March 25.

Brent Cohrs' 'Easy as Riding a Bike' blog carried "Visit Minnesota and Have Fun Biking This Summer," was posted on the http://www.chicagonow.com web site.

Justin Lightfoot of Marshall Radio taped an interview with EMT's Chuck Lennon on February 15, and aired on the weekly Prairie Outdoors Program, which is also available on ITunes.

On February 13 Beth Gauper's 'Midwest Weekends' blog ran "Brainerd in winter..When this Minnesota lakes area slows down, it's time to take to the forest."

On February 8 writer Aaron Rupar posted a City Pages blog, "Surly is 11th best brewery in the world, says RateBeer." On the same theme the same day on the same outlet, blogger Michael Agnew penned "Top 5 brewpubs in the Twin Cities," citing Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery, Barley John's Brewpub, Great Waters Brewing Co., Rock Bottom Brewery and The Herkimer.

Also on February 8 on Minnesota Public Radio web site, Dara Moskowitz/Grumdahl wrote a shout out to beer tourism with "Dining with Dara: Duluth becoming state's premier destination for beer tourism."

The February 6 issue of "Midwest Weekends" has "Charismatic Grand Marais...In the theater of seasons, this Lake Superior village is ready for its close-up."

The Sunday, January 22 Minneapolis Star Tribune travel section cover had St. Cloud writer Lisa Meyers McClintick's story "Sleigh ride brings on magic...Even during a year with light snowfall, the Gunflint Trail in Minnesota's Arrowhead Region delivers chilly delights." In the same section, Travel Editor Kerrie Westenberg's item "Gambling on snowfall in the Arrowhead." And the Sunday, March 11 Star Tribune travel section carried "Gunflint Lodge plans to open zip line this summer," by Kerrie Westernberg, and the 'midwest getaway' page featured Northfield in a story by Joy Riggs.

The Sunday, February 12 'midwest traveler' page in the Minneapolis Star Tribune had "Grand forests, graceful swans," about the trumpeter swan cluster on the Fish Hook River in Park Rapids.

The Friday, March 16 St. Paul Pioneer Press has "Minnesota Museums Month will bring special events in May," by Amy Carlson Gustafson and in the same issue's editorial page, "Treasuring Museums."

In the Sunday, March 18 St. Paul Pioneer Press' Outdoors column by Dave Orrick, "Paddling season: Open...The Cannon River is just the place for an early season meander."
