The Adventure Cycling Association is the premier bicycle travel organization in North America with more than 47,000 members. Our non-profit mission is to inspire and empower people of all ages to travel by bicycle. We conduct about 100 tours per year, publish Adventure Cyclist magazine 9X per year, have mapped over 42,000 miles of bike routes in the US, and advocate for bicycle touring. As a nonprofit organization, all proceeds from tours, sales, and membership go directly back into supporting our mission and programs. Adventure Cycling is headquartered in Missoula, Montana.

Join Adventure Cycling on a fully supported family tour on the Paul Bunyan Trail, August 7-12, 2016! This fully supported family tour travels through the Land of 10,000 Lakes. We’ll ride along the paved, 112-mile-long Paul Bunyan State Trail, as well as on sections of the neighboring Heartland Trail, one of the first rail-trail projects in the U.S. We’ll take in tall tales of local legends Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, as well as true stories of Minnesota’s lumberjacks, fur traders, and Native American tribes. Pedaling from Lake Bemidji State Park to Brainerd, we might see whitetail deer, red fox, porcupine, beaver, and possibly a wolf, a lynx, or even black bear. And don’t forget your swimsuit! Every campsite we visit will have a lake to enjoy after the day’s ride.

Please note: In order to participate in our Family Fun tours adults must be accompanied by a child and children must be accompanied by an adult.
