Minnesota is home to five units of the National Park System and a segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail. The Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is located in the heart of the Twin Cities. National Parks are only a part of what NPS brings to our communities. The Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance Program works with partners to offer advice, technical assistance, recognition and funding in an effort to revitalize communities and create close-to-home recreational opportunities.

BikeMN is an organization with members from 130 communities around the state. Since 2008, BikeMN has been educating, advocating and working to make Minnesota more bike friendly so more people will ride more often. In addition to the road or trail, you’ll see BikeMN at work at the Capitol, representing the voice of riders around the state.

The Parks & Trails Council is a grassroots organization working on behalf of Minnesota's parks and trails since 1954. Fueled by contributions, the Parks & Trails Council has helped add more than 10,000 acres of land to key areas within the state's network of parks and trails. The organization has become the state's most powerful voice for parks and trails due to relationships with community groups, legislators and local governments throughout the state.
