Year-RoundTrout Lake Resort occupies its own piece of secluded heaven just off the Gunflint Trail. We are a small resort, deep in the pristine forest, yet only 16 miles from beautiful Grand Marais and the North Shore of Lake Superior. We are family friendly and pet friendly.
Our lake shore cabins have direct, private access to the lake. There's a place to bring your boat on shore, and you can also fish from shore. Our hilltop cabins feel like a natural part of the forest and have views of the forest and the lake.
Trout Lake is filled with eager rainbow, lake and speckled trout ready to take your bait! There's also stream fishing for brook trout in the Kadunce River. Fly fishing is great here, but you can use a standard rod and reel and have a great time bringing in trout. If you have questions, we'll be glad to send you in the right direction with the right bait.
Trout Lake Resort is ideal for honeymoons, family vacations and family reunions. There's a recreation area, and our fire pit is a great place for telling stories. The dock is a peaceful place to watch for northern lights and soak in the Trout Lake Magic!
