  • From Owatonna, travel 7 miles east on Rose Street (County Highway 19) to the park entrance.

  • Book an online reservation 24 hours a day. Phone reservations can be made by calling 866-857-2757 (TTY: 952-936-4008) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily November through March, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily April through October. Call Ctr closed holidays.

    Waterfowl are attracted to Rice Lake because of the shallow water and marshy edges. Spring and fall are the best times to see large flocks of birds. Spring wildflowers and wildlife observation are other visitor favorites. Hike or cross-country ski on 5 mi of trails. Canoe rental available.
