That quiet place you've been looking for in Minnesota's scenic lake country. Ten ultra-modern cabins with air conditioning, and 22 RV campsites nestled under towering pines in the Chippewa Nat'l Forest. Families are #1 with us! Moore Springs is located on Howard Lake in the Chippewa Nat'l Forest. 10 ultra-modern cabins are nestled under giant virgin pines which tower over the resort; and just a few steps will take you into the forest where hiking trails and wilderness lakes abound. At Moore Springs, you'll find 1100 ft. of shoreline, with clear, spring-fed water and a beautiful, sandy beach so inviting, you'll want to spend hours soaking up the sun or rent a pontoon and enjoy the lake. If you just want to relax, pull up a chair on the sun deck adjacent to the lodge and take in a good book, or watch the breathtaking sunsets, but have your camera ready, children love our wood-structure play area, and fishing off the dock is a favorite pasttime. Our newly-remodeled housekeeping cabins with today's modern conveniences and spacious decks, give the northwoods atmosphere a touch of home.We are within minutes of Akeley, Walker and Park Rapids; close to great shopping, wonderful restaurants and Itasca State Park. If it's golfing you desire, we're 15 minutes away from a beautiful but challenging course.Come join us at Moore Springs, a family place, where northwoods hospitality, beauty and serenity become reality. Your hosts: Stu & Judy Kay Johnson
