Have a whole bay on the lake to yourself, great fishing and water sports and totally private. The only cabin in the bay!
Enjoy the Chippewa National Forest in a private rustic cabin. Look out on the lake and see only the wild of the forest around the lake. The nearest neighbor is not even visible from the cabin. This ideal lake cabin is on the end of a peninsula with 20 acres of pine forest and over 1000 feet of lakeshore & walking trails. Your dream secluded vacation.
This lone cabin is the perfect picture of your private lake vacation. A master suite with king bed and luxury linens sits next to a full bathroom on the main level. A ladder stairs leads you up to an open 2 bedroom loft equipped with a double and 3 single beds. The living area is open to the kitchen and has sleeper furniture that can be used for more sleeping space with extra linens provided. A wood burning stove, stereo, video library and TV comforts the large living room with a walk out to the deck and lake views. There is no cable or wifi sorry, we did say remote and rustic! The full kitchen has dishes, utensils and cooking hardware, a microwave with a large fridge for extended stays.
Dixon Lake is 670 acres and is revered for its great walleye & crappie bite. Fishermen will also have a chance at pike, big perch, sunnies & bass. You will also see very few boats on the lake unless it's opening fishing or the 4th of July, even then it’s not too many. It is a good water sport lake with 9 miles of shoreline. The beach here is a sandy shoreline and there is a dock. There is a small dock for your boat and paddle boat is complimentary.
Excellent fishing, water sports, hiking, biking, ATV trails, birding, wildlife viewing, northern lights, historic sites and many area attractions. There is something for everyone.
