New 9 cabin resort nestled on 30 acres just 4 1/2 minutes east of Lanesboro in a secluded valley on the Root River Trail and along the Root River. 3, 4, 6 & 8 bedroom deluxe cabins all new since 2001. 1400-5300 sq ft; great rooms/fireplace, lofts; full kitchens w/dishwashers. Rent individual cabin or combine. Perfect for families, friends, retreats or reunions. With the Root River Trail running through our resort and the Root River running along side, there is no better access for biking, hiking, canoeing, tubing, X-skiing or fishing. Whether you're a couple looking for a quiet getaway, a group of friends getting together, or are planning a family reunion, we believe we have the perfect setting and accommodations to fill your needs. New since 2001 are 9 deluxe cabins complete with 10' log siding. These beautiful 3, 4,6 & 8 bedroom cabins range in size from 1400 sq ft to 5300 sq ft. They can be rented individually or you can combine cabins for reunions or groups. Each cabin has a large "Great Room" with a gas fireplace and beautiful knotty pine interior for a wonderful "Northwood's" feel. Some of the cabins have vaulted ceilings while others have lofts & log railings. The kitchens are fully furnished with cabinets made by local Amish craftsmen, a dishwasher, all cooking utensils, and an eight foot long log table which offers ample meal space for everyone. All bedrooms have one queen bed with some of the larger bedrooms also having a double futon/twin bunk. All have central air and heat, with Wolf and the Big Timber cabins being completely handicapped accessible. Each cabin also includes a splendid view of the valley, including the Root River Trail. The wildlife is abundant and includes bald eagles, deer, wild turkeys and of course in the evenings you'll hear the hoot owls and coyotes.
