We are a small quiet resort with 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom housekeeping cabins. We have fishing boats, motors, canoes and pontoon boats for rent. We have several beaches and our own boat landing as well as a sauna by the lake. This is an ideal spot for relaxation and adventure with nature. Burntside Lake is one of the most scenic lakes in the area. We are a small, quiet, and private resort with completely furnished cabins ranging in size from an efficiency cabin that sleeps four people to a large four bedroom cabin that sleeps seven people. This is the ideal setting for relaxation and adventure with nature. Burntside Lake is exceptionally beautiful and pristine, with it's water clarity of sixteen feet . . . the town of Ely's water source.
The wildlife, birds, and coniferous forests are still basically the same as when first discovered centuries ago. The ravages of civilization have barely made a dent in the wild and beautiful landscape of the Superior National Forest and surrounding areas. Have you ever heard of a pitcher plant? ( a carnivorous plant endangered in many states) These plants grow wild here. Have you ever seen a morel or chanterelle mushroom growing alongside a forest path? Have you ever heard the haunting cry of the loon? Or seen the lumbering huge moose or bear in it's natural setting? The awe inspiring sunrises and sunsets here will stay in your memories and nourish your soul. All of these wonders are accessible through the doors of Tamarack Resort.
We are members of the Minnesota Resort Association, and licensed by the State of Minnesota. We accept Mastercard, Visa,, American Express, and Discover cards. We are open this year from May 14 to Oct. 1. Call us toll free at 877-992-9952 and be sure to view our web site through this link or by going to elytamarack.com.
