Chase on the Lake began its history in 1922 as the Chase Hotel, quickly becoming a popular vacation destination. The hotel offered a luxurious stay to families and fishermen who had, up until then, slept in tents along the shoreline. The hotel has seen many owners over the years and was almost lost in 1997, by a raging fire that left the entire property ruined. Eleven years later, after a $30-million rebuild, the Chase continues on, brighter than ever. The new refurbishments include upgrades in the quality of the rooms, all styled after the arts and crafts era.
