May 1, 2013 - Oct 31, 2013Kokomo Resort is a family resort located on the shores of North Star Lake, 25 miles north of Grand Rapids on the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway (State Hwy. 38) near Marcell, MN. Our 28-acre resort is nestled under the large pine trees of the Chippewa National Forest. We offer seven lakeside cabins that are fully equipped with modern conveniences and decorated with a cozy northwoods decor.
The resort provides plenty of activities for kids and adults to enjoy including our beautiful sand beach, a water trampoline and swim raft, our kid-approved playground area, fire pits, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball court and hiking trails. Guests enjoy free use of our wireless internet at the lodge, paddleboats, and canoe.
Our seven cabins are exceptionally clean and fully furnished with everything you need for a week at the lake including air-conditioning, updated appliances, kitchenwares and bedding. We take great pride in the cabins we offer, and are constantly upgrading and remodeling them. Our cabins offer beautiful views of North Star Lake from either their decks or large windows.
North Star Lake is exceptional because of its scenic beauty and wide variety of excellent fishing opportunities. Known for its great walleye fishing, North Star also offers outstanding fishing for muskie, northern, crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, perch and bluegill. There are more than 1,000 acres of crystal clear water for great fishing, nature and water recreation.
