The Wenneson was built in 1904 by W.A. Wenneson and ran as the Wenneson Hotel. Nestled in the quaint town of Peterson the Wenneson has been redone to keep the flair for simpler times so many antiques adorn the rooms and there are no televisions or phones in the rooms. Each room does have modern private baths and central airconditioning. There is a large open porch on the front which overlooks the flower garden and fountain which you can enjoy anytime of day as mosquitoes are rare, seriously! To the west, less than 1/2 block is the Root River Trail for bicycling or cross country skiing, and 5 blocks east is the Root River for water activities.
