Bearskin Lodge on Gunflint Trail, Grand Marais, MN

The Bearskin Lodge is on The Gunflint Trail which winds through the wilderness from Grand Marais to the Boundary Waters. The lodge "most elegantly combines the pleasures of wilderness and luxury, creations and comfort" (Minnesota Monthly). This prize winner will enjoy three (3) nights in a luxury log cabin for four (4). Cabins 9 or 10 have two (2) bedrooms: one (1) bedroom with king and one (1) bedroom with queen and single. Summer visitors will receive complimentary canoe rental or ski package in winter. Weekly rentals are required between June 24 and August 25, 2012. This prize may be used in conjunction with a weekly rental or on its own outside the required peak season weekly rental period. State and country taxes are additional. Subject to availability. Bearskin Lodge is the place to disconnect and leave the world behind in a cabin with a fully supplied kitchen and private dock on the lake. Experience the serenity of the wilderness in the privacy of a secluded cabin. What you won't find here are videogames, TV or telephones. (Phone and internet are available in the main lodge.) Leave the hustle and bustle behind but not menus without entrees such as sautéed Breast of Chicken, New York Steak with Béarnaise Sauce or seafood stuffed Walleye. Fine dining available on select nights during winter and summer seasons. Or for simpler fare, visit the lodge for hot soup or chili on a cool afternoon or a simple glass of wine or beer by fireplace. (Meals not included).
