Directions

  • The Northfield Arts Guild's Center for the Arts is on Division Street, near the library, between 3rd and 4th Street, on the east side of the Cannon River. The THEATER is close by on the west side of the Cannon River, just a block west of Hwy 3 on 3rd St.

    This Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra concert will celebrate the winners of CVRO's first-ever Youth Soloist contest.

    The CVRO is a regional ensemble under the auspices of the Northfield Arts Guild. It draws musicians from Northfield, Faribault, Owatonna, Cannon Falls, Montgomery, Red Wing, New Prague and other nearby towns. Players come from all walks of life: college professors, school teachers and administrators, high school choral and band directors, business owners, clerical workers, housewives, retired persons and students from middle school through college.

    Foot in the Door, a community exhibition, runs January 10 through February 17, 2018 in the Main Gallery of the Northfield Arts Guild at 304 Division Street South. The intent of this show is to encourage emerging and established artists of all ages in Northfield and surrounding communities to exhibit their artwork in a professional style show. Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Drawing & Prints all welcomed! The only requirement is that all entered artwork must measure 12”x12” (x12” – 3D works are allowed), or less. Collaborative and individual works accepted; this show is open to any age, and any level of experience.

    Learn more about the work and the meet the artists at the Artist Reception (for adult artists) on Friday, January 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and a Family Open House (for all ages) on Saturday, February 17 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon to celebrate the exhibition.
