Year-RoundMinnesota's longest lived art colony established in 1947 as the outdoor school of painting, a summer project of the Minneapolis School of Art (now MCAD).
Summer weeklong workshops for artists in an intimate setting on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Career development workshops for artists throughout the year. Sponsor of the Grand Marais Arts Festival on the Harbor. The Grand Marais Art Colony’s mission is to provide services to artists, promote art education, and nurture art in our community by providing an environment for creative excellence.
