Located on a Lake or River



  • From the Twin Cities - Highway 61 south to Wabasha, left at Hwy 60 (Pembroke Ave). From WI - Cross the interstate bridge (Hwy 25 in Nelson, WI), left at end of bridge onto Grant, and left on Pembroke Ave.

Other Date Information

  • Open Daily 10am-5pm. Live eagle programs at 11am, 1 and 3pm. (Closed Tuesdays in winter.)

    This summer at the National Eagle Center, kids fish for free when they fish for eagles! We’ve got the fishing poles, lifejackets, bait and a dock out front. Sign out the equipment and take your kids fishing right here! Kids 15 and under can fish without a license.* Best of all they can donate their catch to feed the bald eagle ambassadors. We’re offering fun for the whole family to experience all summer long, so plan your visit to include an afternoon of Fishing for Eagles!

    Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12-4pm … June 18th through August 28th!

    National Eagle Center is hosting Nature Adventures - Live! Nature Adventures is an Emmy nominated public television program that focuses on education about the natural world. Hosts Todd Magnuson and Terri Lawrenz will be bringing reptiles and amphibians for this hands-on program that’s fun for all ages.
