  • From the Twin Cities - Highway 61 south to Wabasha, left at Hwy 60 (Pembroke Ave). From WI - Cross the interstate bridge (Hwy 25 in Nelson, WI), left at end of bridge onto Grant, and left on Pembroke Ave.

    Eagle Viewing Field Trips – Register Online!

    Field trips begin at 1pm with a brief classroom program, followed by a tour via coach bus to prime bald or golden eagle viewing locations. Participants should dress for the weather and bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras if desired. Little walking is required – simply step off the bus for a great view! Field trips return to the National Eagle Center for light refreshments and a chance to share photos and stories from the day and conclude by 5pm.

    Eagles have excellent fishing skills, however it took a lot of practice. Kids can practice their fishing skills just outside of the National Eagle Center! Poles, life jackets, and bait will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to encounter the river and its wildlife with an expert guide! Ranger Ed will share interesting facts and insight and answer your questions about our local environment and native plant, animal and bird species.
