Four proposals, three rejections, two marriages, and one scandal. This play, presented by middle and high school youth from our fall theatre camp program, helps students focus on more advanced aspects of theatre like character development. These students bring the wonderful characters of Jane Austen's classic romantic comedy to life: witty, free-spirited Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters, including the lovely Jane; their match-maker mother, Mrs. Bennet, who only wants what's best for her daughters; and of course, the handsome but enigmatic, Mr. Darcy. Step into 1800's England as our youth explore love and misfortune as only Jane Austen can tell it.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
