Join us for Smokey's Bear's 74th Birthday celebration. Everyone is invited to this fun family day at the Forest Visitor Centers. Wednesday, August 8th, we will be celebrating Smokey's birthday at the Cut Foot Sioux Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. On Saturday, August 11th, there will be a second celebration at Norway Beach Visitor Center at 1:00 p.m. Both birthday parties will, of course, feature Smokey Bear and lots of birthday cake, firefighter games and appearances by Chippewa National Forest firefighters. Come early to meet Smokey--he generally makes two appearances within the first hour of activities. There are no Smokey appearances after the first hour, but the firefighter games continue!
