In the late '80s, an abundance of small theater companies were complaining about the lack of available space for presenting their work. So a local actor who dealt in real estate opened this theater in an old auto shop, and it's rarely been dark for a weekend since. The space can be reconfigured several ways, and the staging styles have run the gamut from arena to thrust to proscenium. The fare is unpredictable, but there have been some very memorable productions here.
