Year-RoundThe Duluth Children's Museum is the fifth oldest children's museum in the United States, founded in 1930. We encourage cooperative and intergenerational play, providing an open environment for diversity. Children's curiosity is sparked through interactive, hands-on, educational exhibits and programs. The Duluth Children's Museum is housed in the Historic Union Depot in the heart of the downtown waterfront district.

: Year round except New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day. Summer hours are Memorial Day through Labor Day 9:30am-6pm daily. Winter hours are Tues-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 1-5pm.

: We practice Adaptive re-use, as we are housed in a historic building. We recycle & use recycled materials in our programming & administrative space. Florescent lighting is used where possible. In our exhibits low VOC paints by Safe Coat are used. - Waste Reduction/Reuse/Recycling
