May 30, 2013 - Oct 30, 2013On site are two of the original cabins from The Isle of Pines, former home of Dorothy Molter also known as the 'Root Beer Lady' and the 'Nightengale of the Boundary Waters.' Dorothy was the last living non-indigenous resident of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Her original cabins, full of personal effects from an era gone by, were removed after her death and brought out by dog sled to be reassembled as a memorial. Tour guides take you to a simpler time and place as they share her story.
