    Glensheen Mansion, along with the Duluth News Tribune, hosts another stimulating Chester Chat evening. Set in one of the most beautiful homes in the Northland, the series is a lively Ted Talk-styled event meant to be fast-paced and foster critical thinking.

    Glensheen’s 4th Annual Jack O’ Lantern Spooktacular!

    The event starts at 6 p.m. and the grounds close at 9 p.m. The last group will be admitted onto the grounds at 8:30 p.m.

    Don’t miss this artistic display of carved and illuminated pumpkins arranged throughout the 7-acre, lakeside estate. Artists and students team up to carve 1,000 pumpkins, which cast Glensheen in an enchanted glow.

    Walk through the spooky Cottonwood cathedral, a torch-walk against our 100-year-old wrought iron fence to the West Gate where…a mass of grinning pumpkins will greet you at the entrance of the mansion, lit for enchanted effect!

    Inside, witness a Pumpkin Seance contacting the spirits of Old Ghouls – Herman and Lily Munster / Morticia and Gomez Addams – artistically cut onto pumpkins.
    Then it’s down to the Mansion’s Winter Garden to pick the winner of the pumpkin carving contest.

    Back outside, tour the Bridge of Sorrows where hundreds of pumpkins are fleeing in terror over the orangey/red waters. What’s frightening them? Come and see!

    Also enjoy fire dancers and make your own S’more – truly a magical night for all ages.

    The fourth annual Lake Superior Fish Classic is a judged chef cook-off and tasting event focused on fish from Lake Superior, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Glensheen, the Historic Congdon Estate in Duluth.
