Dedicated in 1967 and nicknamed "the schoolhouse that never quits teaching," the museum is a county icon and a community landmark on a high hill overlooking Lake Tustin. The museum interprets the history of Le Sueur county through an extensive collection of artifacts, a one-room school, general store, Victorian rooms, log cabin, farm implements and primitives. The museum's Art Room showcases international artists with local ties. CLOSED during 2010 for a makeover, re-opening May 2011.
