May 14, 2013 - Sep 26, 2013Isolated in the heart of Voyageurs National Park, lies this historic remnant of the past. From the end of the nearest road it's a 13 mi boat ride. Tour boats run almost daily in summer; see bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons and other wildlife. Look south in to Canada due to a twist in the int'l border. The original saloon with it's rolling floor is pockmarked from loggers' hobnail boots.
