Park is great for cross country skiing, mountain bikers, horse back riders, bird watchers and hikers. Trails run through hilly, wooded area, very challenging.
19.4 km trackset. 19.4 km skate-ski. Mostly expert level trails. Warming house. Maps along trail. Ski pass required. Ski passes sold at trailhead. The extensive forests make this a great park for woodland songbirds. In 2004, the park was designated as an "Important Bird Area" by the National Audubon Society.

  • Directions to Facility / Event: Located near Savage on Scott County Road 75. From I-35W, take County Road 42 west to County Road 27, turn south on 27, then east on 154th Street, then south on County Road 75 to the park entrance. Phone: (952) 447-6913 (Winter Trailhead).
