    On May 10, 1996 Finnish Rockers, APOCALYPTICA, released their epic debut PLAYS METALLICA BY FOUR CELLOS. The instrumental cello-driven rock opus changed the landscape of heavy music for years to come. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the album, the group re-released it remastered with 3 bonus tracks on July 22, 2016.

    Added to this new version was brand new / never-before-released instrumental recordings of “Battery,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Seek & Destroy.” The album is available on vinyl (2 LP set) for the first time in many years.

    PLAYS METALLICA BY FOUR CELLOS was a new approach to the hits of the biggest metal band the world has seen. Even more APOCALYPTICA created their very own genre and laid the foundation to a career that has lasted for 20 years so far with millions of records sold and sold out shows around the world.

Nashville Obsolete marks the 7th studio album on which Welch and Rawlings have collaborated together in their acclaimed two-decade long creative partnership, including their most recent offering, the GRAMMY nominated Gillian Welch release The Harrow and the Harvest (2011), the 2009 Dave Rawlings Machine release A Friend of a Friend, which MOJO hailed as “the best Americana debut of Dave Rawlings Machine, whose rousing live show has prompted critics and fans alike to call them “one of the hottest string bands on the planet” (SF Weekly) will support Nashville Obsolete with a world tour.

    Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors is an Americana band from Memphis and East Nashville, TN. Formed in 2006 by Drew Holcomb (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), the band includes Nathan Dugger (guitar, keys), Rich Brinsfield (bass), Jonathan Womble (drums), and Grant Pittman (keys).

    Drawing influence from Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors has found their place in today’s landscape of singer/songwriter Americana.     Paul Weller is an English singer, songwriter, musician. Weller achieved fame with the punk rock/new wave/mod revival band The Jam. He had further success with the blue-eyed soul music of The Style Council (1983–89), before establishing himself as a solo artist in 1991.

    The Daily Telegraph said of Weller: “Apart from David Bowie, it’s hard to think of any British solo artist who’s had as varied, long-lasting and determinedly forward-looking a career.” The BBC described Weller in 2007 as “one of the most revered music writers and performers of the past 30 years”. He has received four Brit Awards, winning the award for Best British Male twice, and the 2006 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
