Year-RoundCheck out the Mississippi River's National Park, the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. The park highlights a 72-mile stretch of the upper Mississippi River from Dayton and Ramsey to southwest of Hastings, through Minneapolis and St. Paul. You can hike, bike, canoe, and explore all along the mighty Mississippi. Stop in the free Mississippi River Visitor Center (651.293.0200), in the lobby of the Science Museum of Minnesota in downtown St. Paul, to learn more.
