Year-RoundPembina Trail Preserve lies on a prominent beach ridge at the eastern edge of Glacial Lake Agassiz. The 2,377 acres of tallgrass prairie are interspersed with meadows, marshes, shrub swamps, and calcareous fens. Mallards, prairie chickens, meadowlarks, sandhill cranes, white-tail jackrabbits, white-tail deer, badgers, and moose are commonly seen.
