Year-RoundThe Twin Lakes wildlife management area is over 8,000 acres in size. Over half is wetland along with blocks of aspen woodland and oak savanna with dry prairie. Activities include hiking, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, berry picking, and wildlife viewing. An observation platform, located off of Highway 11, offers a view of one of the wetlands. Moose, black bears, coyotes, sandhill cranes, sharp-tailed grouse, deer, bitterns, ducks, geese, eagles, and yellow rail frequent this WMA.
