Open:
Year-RoundUser groomed cross country ski trail for classic and skate style skiing. This two-section trail system winds through Superior National Forest-with a picnic rock along the trail-back to Perch Lake another second of the trail follows the shoreline of Bear Island Lake. This is a multi use trail system, ski permit not required.

Directions
From Ely-take Central/Highway 21 towards Babbitt. Park on the shoulder of Escape Road (1st right hand turn after Northern Lights Lodge sign). The wooded trail is across Hwy 21 and the lake trail can be accessed at the end of Escape Road.
