  • CCHS is located north of Hwy 5 in Waconia, an extended suburb of the Twin Cities metro. Take Hwy 5 West out of Chanhassen. At the intersection of Hwy 5 and Hwy 284 in Waconia, turn right. At 1st St, turn left. The museum is 5 blocks down on the left.

    This summer, the CCHS is proud to host an exciting new exhibit for kids, Storyland! Focused on early childhood literacy and featuring some of your favorite children’s books, this interactive exhibit is the perfect fun adventure for your 0-8 year olds.

    Join the fun as you visit Mr. McGregor’s garden and Peter’s home in The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Build vocabulary and narrative skills as you explore Peter’s world.

    Explore the winter wonderland of The Snowy Day as children build print, sound, and letter skills. Visit a snowy playscape and Peter’s bedroom.

    Toddlers can explore sounds and images through play and discovery with Where’s Spot? Become a little explorer just like Spot!

    This exciting new exhibit’s grand opening celebration is June 7th. Storyland runs through September 20. Mark your calendars today!
