Sauk Centre IS the Center located at the crossroads of 94 and Highways 71 and 28. Stroll down the Original Main Street featuring antique and unique stores and coffee shops plus a unique 6-screen movie theatre. The Lake Wobegon Trail for biking, hiking, skateboarding and snowmobiling goes right through the heart of the City, three golf courses, Sauk Lake and parks for fishing and recreation, frisbee golf, and summer camping facilities with music in the bandshell and a musical playground that you have to see right in the heart of downtown.
Sauk Centre is the boyhood home of Sinclair Lewis, the first American author to win the Nobel Prize. Visit a museum dedicated to him at the Interpretive Center, open 8:30 to 4:30 Monday-Friday and weekends during the summer. His narrated home tours are open summers only.

Sauk Centre is located 2 hours southeast of Fargo and 90 minutes Northwest of the Twin Cities metro area.

Sauk Centre offers the visitor an array of hotels and activities including Greystone Golf Course, a Tom Lehman signature designed course with 18 challenging holes, The Lynx National with old world charm of "Scottish Links" style course with eighteen championship holes of golf designed by professional golf architect Mike Morley, is masterfully nestled along the winding Sauk River.
