    Join Wahoo! Adventures and other adventurous travelers for a six day, five night bicycling trip starting at the Headwaters of the Mississippi in Itasca State Park ending in Grand Rapids. Of the six day trip, four days will be spent bicycling for a total of 135 miles. Follow the Mississippi river from its humble beginning as a creek in northern Minnesota to the roaring falls in Minneapolis. See Paul Bunyan, wild rice via a canoe, eagles, and loons.

    This is a hotel/lodge tour with one night pampered camping next to the river, August 5th - 10th.

    6 days & 5 nights - Sunday to Friday
    Bicycle: 4 days and 135 miles with optional wilderness loop at Itasca and kick-off Minneapolis bicycle history tour.

    This one-day "camp" is designed for active adults who want to experience the outdoors while staying close to home. Take this opportunity to try a new activity or revisit one that you haven’t done for years. Several outdoor naturalist programs are included to make this day a learning and recreational experience. You may even develop a new outdoor “hobby” after today and you’ll definitely meet others who share your interests. Following an opening welcome by the National Park Service Outdoor Recreation Planner, Randy Thoreson, participants will participate in the various activities they have chosen for the day. You pay only for the "experiences" you select.

    Activity Choices:
    **Pedal Power - bring your own bike and helmet.
    **Learn to Kayak - all kayaking/safety equipment provided, wear shoes that can get wet. No previous kayaking experience necessary
    **Nordic Walking - Includes instruction and then a hike around the grounds
    **Bird Identification - Hike with a naturalist that includes birding and instruction on successful
    birding
    **Container Gardening - Discussion of types of plants and make an herb container garden to
    take with you
    **Laughter Yoga - Laugh and then laugh some more! Don’t let the name fool you, there is no “Down Dog”(yoga pose) in this incredibly fun session.
    **Raising Backyard Chickens - If you are considering raising chickens you won’t want to miss this informational session
    **Beekeeping - If you are considering keeping bees you won’t want to miss this informational session.

    Snowshoe luminary lit trails through Pine Point Park...the backyard for the Turn-of-The-Century Outing Lodge which will be our base camp. Bonfire, smores, housemade chicken pot pie, and cash bar. Save $50 on Jacuzzi Suites and stay overnight in this lodge nestled near Stillwater.

    On this tour, you will meet other lady adventurers looking for multi-sport adventure with the Wahoo! pampered feel! Just bring your luggage and we do the rest. This year, our 8th, we explore the Arrowhead Region of Minnesota from Grand Marais into Ontario, Canada with one kayaking and one bicycling day. We will also be able to visit the Superior Hiking Trail, the Grand Portage Fort/Monument, plus Cascade, Judge Magney, and Grand Portage State Parks. We will be celebrating Lake Superior with views from our kayak, our bike, and our accommodations. Enjoy a healthy and fun menu of meals we will eat outdoors when weather permits. During our down time, feel free to nap, knit, journal, hike, or just relax.
