Things To Do in Minnesota
Minnesota offers an enticing selection of things to do for a vacation or quick getaway. This “Land of 10,000 Lakes” is well known as an outstanding destination for outdoor fun. Minnesota has fine fishing waters, great golf, a bounty of hiking trails, and some of the best paved bike trails in the country. There are scenic canoe and kayak routes, and the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area is a one-of-a-kind adventure. Winter enthusiasts will find top-notch ski and snowmobile trails, as well as downhill ski and snowboard areas.
Family fun is the focus as water parks, zoos and amusement parks. There are intriguing tours of mines and caves, plus scenic boat excursions. Excellent art, history and science museums often feature special exhibits. The Minneapolis-St. Paul area is well known for its excellent theater, and there are several entertaining summer theaters around the state. There are a growing number of wineries, open four tours and tastings. Casinos and horse racing tracks provide gaming action. And shopping is always a drop, including Mall of America, the most-visited attraction in Minnesota.
